A collision in Maricopa’s Heritage District this morning left at least one person needing medical attention.
The crash took place around 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Maricopa Road and Garvey Avenue, resulting in a temporary closure of northbound lanes and significant traffic delays. Two sedans were involved, with one vehicle’s door becoming trapped due to the impact.
Emergency Response
The Maricopa Fire and Medical Department arrived promptly, using specialized tools to free a passenger from one of the vehicles. Public safety representative Monica Williams confirmed that the injured person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, which may include a broken bone.
